PREPAREDNESS PROJECTS TO KEEP YOU MOVING FORWARD
UNDER CONSTRUCTION - PLEASE EXCUSE THE MESS
This is the official 'How To' section of this website. This section is safe for men, women, children, and pets. The 'How To' section is rated 'G' in its entirety. There is no story line here. If you are interested in the reasons behind these preparations, you should read the Listening to Katrina blog - which is rated 'R' if you didn't know.
The pages in this section are simple and basic. If you follow them, you will slowly build your level of preparedness for disasters and emergencies. Each page cross references to a printable version (which does not contain photographs) so that you can print these 'instructions' while working on your workbook. You can also store these pages in your workbook for quick reference.
Do not try to do too much all at once, or overwhelm yourself with too much information all at once. The Preparedness Projects are specifically designed so that you can do one or two each week. If you try to do too much at one time, you will only exhaust yourself. Work slowly and carefully and you will succeed.
You may freely link to, print, use, and distribute the content on this website as long as you do not do so for profit. If you use any of this material, please give credit where credit is due and provide a link to this website. If you rip me off, then may plagues of plague-like things plague you.
You should keep several points in mind when using these instructions.
1. PREPAREDNESS IS NOT A KIT!
2. PREPAREDNESS IS NOT A PLAN!
3. Preparedness means Having Your Stuff Together (HYST).
4. Everything here is tried and true. I am not speaking to you
from theory.
5. These instructions are not written in stone. Feel free to
make adjustments to suit your needs.
6. Thinking for yourself is the #1 most valuable preparedness skill.
7. I am not selling anything here.
If you wish to support the site, you can read the bottom of any page.
8. LAZY PEOPLE DO NOT PROSPER! DO NOT BE LAZY!
